
Sara Swacina grew up drawing on any paper she could find and always loving art class, craft time and any type of creativity. Sara has continued this love of art and creativity as an adult and paints nearly every day. She has taught drawing and painting in a variety of ways including private art lessons, an expressive arts program to underprivileged teenage girls, adult painting classes, teaching art at private schools, and teaching drawing, painting and 2-D design at the local community college. Sara exhibits her artwork regularly in local and nationwide art shows including the 90th Cumberland Valley Artist Exhibition at the Museum of Fine Arts in Hagerstown,Maryland, the 56th Annual Juried Art Show at the Plymouth Center for the Arts in Plymouth, Massachusetts, the Women in Art Exhibition at the Las Laguna Art Gallery in Laguna Beach, California and 33rd Annual Fakes and Forgeries at Spring Bull Gallery in Newport, Road Island. She has also won a number of people’s choice awards and the Lee Weaver memorial award from the Museum of Fine Arts in Hagerstown, MD.
